Tony and Natasha

Submission piece to the Heroes Auction 2012 by myself and ; Copic marker, acrylic paint, ink. I did the layout and finished Tony, Comfort finished Black Widow. The initial idea was hers and although I wasn't convinced at first, it wound up looking pretty good.

Original size of the piece was pretty huge-- 22"x34". Waaay bigger than we ever usually work on. And, unlike last year, we didn't have the time to do the layout and artograph it onto the large board before going to the show, so we had to freehand all the proportions and such at that ridiculous size. It came out pretty good but not perfect, but most of the little proportional inconsistencies can be chalked up to our lack of practice at working so large.

On another note, this piece features the finest marker work I've ever done. I'm so happy with Tony's face that... I just don't know how to process liking my own stuff that much! I wish you could all see it in person (the photo here doesn't do it justice). I'm really proud of it.
