Commission from Mid-Ohio Con 2011; Copic marker, ink, white paint pen.

This one brought me back. One of my favorite books when I was young was the New Warriors. I had no idea who any of the characters were (except for Firestar from the Spiderman & His Amazing Friends cartoon), but I LOVED it. Speedball and Nova became fast favorite characters of mine, and I wept when the series ended.

Flash-forward to receiving this commission, and I was so psyched to get it that it became my favorite marker piece I've done so far. Everything worked just exactly as I planned, which so rarely happens that I wasn't sure what to do when it came out as it did.

Someday I have visions of doing a New Warriors pinup with the cast in their modern incarnations. Someday...
