This has been a dream project for us, and we're co-creators, co-writers, co-artists, co-everything! It's taken a long time to get the first issue finished (36 pages! Full color!) And even more time after that to get the infrastructure ready to actually sell it. See, we don't have a publisher - just us and our blood, sweat and tears. So Uniques #1 is available exclusively online, and exclusively through us and our digi-partners.
We can't wait to see what you all think of the comic and the awesome website. Head over to uniquescomic.com www.uniquescomic.com to buy the book - it's only available as a downloadable CBZ file at the moment (free software to read CBZ files are linked from the store page, so check those out), but a print-on-demand paper version is coming soon. We'll keep people updated on that front, but for now you can also surf the website www.uniquescomic.com and see the metric butt-load of content we've got up for the launch:
- The Uniques comic (.99 cents for 36 pages?! UNBELIEVABLE!!!)
- Wallpapers (to fancify your desktop)
- Podcast Commentary (listen to us jabber on about the comic, DVD Director Commentary style)
- Soundtrack (a suggested list of songs to download and listen to through the book)
- Apparel (so you can look even hotter then you already are)
- In-Depth Character Bio's (tons and tons of rich back-matter for the people and world of The Uniques)
- A Uniques Forum (so you can talk, comment, and bitch! The internet at its finest!)
- Gallery (chock full of Pin-ups, sketches, covers, and all of the amazing fan art we've gotten of The Uniques)
Not convinced? Check out some of these screen shots!
Check it out, it looks professional! Amazing!
Navigating is a cinch! And you can read all about us and the other people who made The Uniques possible.
Holy junk! Fan Art Galore!
Kick-Ass sample pages
And a forum all about The Uniques. What the are you still looking at this for? Go to the website! UniquesComic.com!!! www.uniquescomic.comNow for the next part - we need your help. See, we're on our own with this book. We've got a lot of friends who really dig it, but we're publishing and producing out of our own pockets, and that can only get us so far.
What we need is for people to spread the word. Blog about us, write about the book, advertise for us-- if you like The Uniques, if you like our art, or even if you just dig Independent Comics and want to see a hard-working little married couple get to pursue their dreams, PLEASE let people know about the comic and where to find it.
It's really as simple as this: Word of mouth is our ONLY real source of advertising. It's all we've got, so we're trying to work it for all we can. If people don't talk about The Uniques, then it won't be able to continue. We've got tons of stories ready, and over a dozen already scripted - this won't be another All-Star Batman & Robin or Ultimate Wolverine & Hulk! But we can only keep drawing if we can make the money off of sales to keep us fed and sheltered, and keep our little kittens warm and safe.
We're sending out a call to arms! Buy the book (and at .99 cents, it's practically free), read the book, and if you liked it then say so! We'd love to hear from you, but we'd love it even more if OTHER people heard from you
Thanks-
Adam Withers
P.S.
The fan-art section is a little glitchy and we're working on making your links work as we speak - but all the art is up and it looks awesome!

Sincerely,
Justin Carmona

Once we figured out that just listing song 'suggestions' was a way to have a sort-of-soundtrack while dodging the legal issues, it was just a matter of picking the tunes.
Remember DBZ, and hell, I think we did that with Gundam.
I recently wrote a script that I'm shooting, but while I had a few cats read it, I had a suggested soundtrack with tunes from Jamie Cullum, and Spoon.
Anyway. Good luck. Nice song choices, too.
Future issues won't be so tied to a time-period, though.
And of COURSE I remember the DBZ campaign. Fenix is the strongest there is!
And there was music in the Gundam campaign, too. Trio Wellmax. Hoo-hah.
