Jedi Master Xion Tel, an NPC in the Star Wars RPG I run. I'm such a Wars-nerd it's just silly, but these characters from our game are real close to my heart.

Xion Tel, in particular, is interesting to me due to her rather unorthadox methodology and her existance in the gray zone of justice. When you are there to not only police your own, but to ask questions nobody wants answered, learn truths nobody wants to know, and go places nobody wants to go, it tends to change your perspective on people in general.

Anyway, you can read more on her and catch a write-up of the Omwati race I did, and see her stat-block for the Star Wars Saga Edition RPG on our blog: [link]

Gotta say... not familiar with her race, not familiar with the RPG, and I can only call myself HALF a Star-Wars nerd... but I bloody love this character. Her stance is cool, her outfit screams "Wild West sheriff" which REALLY works for her, and... yeah, she just looks awesome. Also kinda a fan of 'gray' Jedi, no idea why.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the love. I think the reason people like Gray jedi is the same reason they like anti-heroes in general - you want to root for the good guy, but you want them to do all the same cool stuff the bad guys do. Gray Jedi use all the dark side powers you want to see, but still get to call themselves good guys (barely).

I've never been into anti-heroes or good guys that are basically villains who just HAPPEN to hurt the right people, but I see the appeal. ;)

I getcha. Heck, I actually prefer the goody-two-shoes heroes myself, and in all RPGs I kinda prefer the good path. But there's something terribly satisfying about a villain starting a monologue only to have said anti-hero go ahead and shoot them. Kinda like this: [link]

Oh, definitely. I just prefer heroic heroes. They can do dick things sometimes, walk the line you know? But they have to choose what's good and right over what's easier or more convenient.

Och aye. That's kinda the nature of heroics (in the modern sense, though in the sense of storytelling a hero is one who departs, undergoes a transformation of either themselves or something else, and returns in some manner).

And there's nothing wrong with being a huge Star Wars Nerd.

The non-Jedi-ish clothes make me think 'police' more than 'Jedi' - was this intentional?

In part. Largely it was because her role as an investigator and internal affairs officer requires her to be able to go places without everybody around going "HEY LOOKIE!!! A JEDI!!!" She has regular robes she'll wear, but only for official occasions.

Neat. Something happen to her eyes?

Not really. Near as I could tell from other Omwati images I was able to find, that's just how their eyes look.

Don't think so... I will have to research. Minor detail though, it's great work.
