Here we have our first look at the Acropolis - the Veratu capitol. There's an Acropolis at the heart of every continent where the Veratu administrate the Gloom. We also get to watch the fate of Jane, Becky, and Steve unfold this issue, and it isn't pretty. The awakening of so many people into the world of color has made putting them back into the Gloom a much harder, more painful process.

Even Steve - who WANTED to go back into the Gloom - has to suffer the consequences. Sometimes even just wanting life to go back to the way it was can be a passion born from such a pure place that it removes you even further from the Gloom itself.
