We've finally shown what the Cleaners are under their suits, and it's a reveal we've been excited to do since RitD was just an idea bouncing in our heads. This issue, Luke has a conversation with the captive, and it's one of my favorite scenes in the whole series. We go full "Dark Crystal" here, and it's great. As a side-note: drawing creepy old-ass men is really fun. You can get so craggy and scratchy with the pencils and it all just works.
...Actually, this issue has a
few of my favorite moments in the series. I'm pretty proud of how it all came out.
