I went and made a huge mistake. I've been playing on a Cintiq. Those things are AWESOME! It's just silly/rediculous (silliculous? Rediculilly?) how expensive they are, but it's alright. For now, I still prefer drawing by hand. The benefit for me was being able to paint like I draw.
It isn't a great pic. I've never been much of a painter, and color isn't my strong point. And the pose is a bit dull, but I wasn't trying too hard with it - I was just playing around with the neatness of being able to doodle on a computer screen in real-time. Soooo cool.
Oh, and I decided Katee Sakhoff should be Power Girl. She's perfect!

I was about to comment that this looks amazing, except that I didn't care for the rendering of her face because she looks a lot like Katie Sakhoff (whom I've never found to be all that pretty, personally), and then I got to the end of your description, ha!
So do I agree with your idea of using Sakhoff's likeness? Not at all! But in terms of capturing the specific look and design that you were going for, your work as absolute top notch!
