These are the final pencils from a set of sample pages based on a story I write as part of the DC Heroclix RPG that I run on HCRealms.com (The HCRPSC). You can see the particular story that these pages come from here: [link]

Getting the color just right on the constructs was tricky. Technically, they're made of light, and thus you wouldn't see much of their form AT ALL. Assuming that you could see their form, finding a way to make them intangible enough to be energy, yet solid enough to have force was tricky. It took some doing, but I think between Comfort and I we found a solution that answers the problem pretty well.

The foreground color, lighting, and most of the color was done by my wife

while I did the color backgrounds, the ring constructs, background characters and some finishes.

***EDIT***
Replaced this with a new version, where we did some color adjustments and brought in black gutters and generally fiddled around with it some more. Like it a lot more, now

We did, but they didn't want us. Said we were too cartoony. So instead we started making our own comic called The Uniques. And hey, the first issue is available free from the website www.uniquescomic.com

Hehe. Are Jade, Arisia and Soranik Natu just watching the male Green Lanterns train? Though it looks like they're watching it as a movie sort of (they look like they're in theater seats)

It isn't Soranik Natu - it's Katma Tui. And yeah, they're watching a training match in a GL Arena on Oa. It's both for training and for entertainment, and Kat's getting Jade ready to go in and compete herself, in a moment.

That'd be Jade, and honestly we don't deserve too much costuming credit on that one. We just took her old Infinity Inc. costume [link] and Laneternified it

even if you just lanternfied her it's still a good idea, i swear all the green lanterns look exactlly the same, jade, i'll be able to remeber, as for everyone else there is so little colour differentiation, they all look like a blob to me :C whos ever heard of a planet with populations dressed to striclty the colous of green and black ? thats like obliterating freedom of expression. varity is nice
