Convention sketch from the Mid-Ohio Con 2010 of Brother Voodoo - Sorcerer Supreme!

The first copic marker piece I've done that I've been ecstatic about. I really feel like I'm getting the hang of these now. Plus it really shows the tonal range you can get out of these warm and cool gray markers. The only regret is that I didn't put a little swirling ball of light or something in his hand. Ah, well - I like it anyway.

Totally worth it. I love the way these babies work. It makes marker sketching easy!

marker sketching? Using the marker lines for the sketch? It'd take me a long time to get that confident ^^; Pencil and ink i'll have no problem with :)

Well not exactly; I lay it out in pencil first and then go over with marker. But it's mostly the marker doing the work with some micron pens for final details.

Right. That sounds quite reasonable to work with :)
