Critter

This is an interesting piece of trivia, but I was almost the lead artist on the Critter comic back in 2008. This was just before Comfort and I started doing The Uniques, and I had been hired to do character designs for a good guy by the name of Tom Hutchison. He was working on getting his project 'Critter' off the ground, and I was the guy who turned his concepts and loose doodles into finished character designs. 

He so enjoyed the design work I did for him that he offered me the spot as penciller on the upcoming book, and I thought pretty seriously about it. Ultimately, Comfort and I had to go with our own dream project, and Tom found artist to work on Critter. I think it all worked out for the best, because I've been incredibly happy making Uniques, and Fico has absolutely killed it on Critter.
